I’m Olivia Hays and I’m 24 years old. I attended the Kansas City Art Institute where I specialized in film, photography, sound design, lighting, and editing. For as long as I can remember I have been dedicated to making videos. At the age of 15 I began working for a marketing company where I learned the basics of film, photography, and editing. For three years I trained in the professional world of marketing. It was here that I learned how to communicate with clients, produce commercials, and became proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud.
Also while I was in school I explored other avenues of art including but not limited to painting, printmaking, sculpture, graphite drawings, ink drawings, and makeup.
Some noteworthy accomplishments in my career so far include coordinating an art market for students to sell their work, creating a music video for the band The Happy Fits, and multiple exhibitions at Kansas City Art Institute.
I have won several awards from film festivals such as the California Fear Fare, Film Chronicle, and Film Prize Junior for short films that I directed and produced. For a period of time I worked as a house manager at the Coterie Live Theater. Afterwards I went on to work as a wedding photographer for Epic Photography. I worked my way up to lead photographer which made me responsible for coordinating and executing entire wedding shoots on my own. I worked multiple freelance jobs and became a professional photographer/editor at Klein Peter Photography. Now I’m living my dream of running this company with my lifelong friends and I’m looking forward to the great things to come.
